Very mixed feelings!

From viewing the photos on the website we booked a suite with terrace & Acropolis view. The hotel boasts 'the best Acropolis view'. On arrival we were given the key to our suite, on opening the curtains & stepping onto the terrace we were horrified to be facing a row of totally dilapidated windows, workshops with dirty torn awnings. The Acropolis could be seen in the distance but only by also viewing the horrendous site opposite. There is no way we would have sat on the terrace opposite this depressing outlook. We also had single beds made up with individual bedding, not the double we requested. After complaining we were moved the next day, after an extremely noisy night from a neighbouring roof terrace. On moving we still were opposite the same view just slightly further back, again the terrace was uninviting. On a 6 night stay no refreshments were replaced, tea, coffee, sugar, water nor toiletries, everything had to be requested. Our friend had a room opposite ours looking out on the Philapappas Hill but again the constant noise at night was unbearable. Not what we would call Boutique! On a positive note all staff were delightful.

We reserved their best room with a view of the Acropolis and found that the A/C was broken, which they knew, but put us in the room anyway. The refrigerator was also broken. We were told the A/C would be fixed "tomorrow", but the repair crew showed-up two days later. Over three nights, we were shuffled between a lower-end room (no discount) and then back to the original room after the A/C was (improperly) fixed on the third day. After the first night, we asked for a refund so we could get another hotel. We were denied. Overall the hotel would be fine if you can get a functional room at a good price, though it is on the edge of a desirable area and it is the only nice building on the block. With so many options in the area, you can do far better than choosing this hotel.

Hotel is in a seedy neighborhood. There is no space for a taxi to stop. Unloading people and luggage from the airport caused a 15 car log jam. AC was broken and room wasn’t ready for check-in. No partial refund was offered despite high temperatures in the room. Beds are uncomfortable and rooms are small. Otherwise clean and smart looking on the inside.

Superb hotel in the centre of Athens, within walking distance from the main sites and walking distance from all restaurants and bars, on arrival greeted with very friendly and helpful staff, hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable, had one very small issue but is was sorted out promptly, would definitely come back due the location and the friendly staff, highly recommended, keep up the good work 👏

I am so disappointed to be writing this review as we had stayed at this hotel pre COVID and it was wonderful. From the moment we arrived it was evident that nothing had been spent on the hotel in that time. First of all the tv would not work and we had to wait until 11pm for a change of receptionist as he had the capacity to fix it. The claim of luxurious beds is so false ours had 3 mattress toppers on it to try and hide the worn indents. The next day we realise that the fridge did not work and when it was brought to the managers attention he simply dismissed it and said we will bring some chilled water when you want it. (Fine except what about anything else we want chilled). On our last night the aircondlting broke down and when brought the their attention we were given a pedestal fan and it was suggested we sleep with the balcony doors open, ( well the doors and windows are triple glazed to keep out the outside noise so that wasn’t going to happen and not to mention the feral cats that frequent the balcony). So we were given a chilled bottle of wine for free to try and calm us down. We then negotiated a credit for one night prior to departing but alas it has never been processed.
